Chilfiltering Whisky

Praban
Praban na Linne Ltd, the Gaelic-labelled whisky company, was established in 1976. Its headquarters are at Eilean Iarmain, on the bay of Ornsay looking out over the Sound of Sleat on the Southern shore of Skye. The name means 'the little whisky centre by the Sound of Sleat'.

The company is located on Fearan Eilean Iarmain, an estate on the South of Skye owned by Sir Ian Noble. It was one of a series of projects, which also included the Gaelic College of Sabhal Mor Ostaig and Hotel Eilean Iarmain, established by Sir Ian to contribute to the development of a prosperous Gaelic-speaking community in the South of Skye.
