Campbeltown

At one time Campbeltown was the premier whisky producing region in Scotland.

Loved by connoisseurs, Campbletown whiskies tend to be full bodied, peaty and salty. Campbeltown is home to the famous Springbank distillery that produces some of the most sought after and awarded whisky in the world.

Glen Scotia

Glen Scotia is a small distillery that was built in 1832 and is said to be haunted by Duncan MacCallum who owned the distillery in the 1920s before committing suicide in 1930. The distillery has had and off again on again existence recently, but is now back to producing whisky on a regular basis. Glen Scotia is offered in a 12 year old expression but a new bottling from the current distillery owners probably won’t be out for several more years.

Hazelburn

Hazelburn is a triple distilled, unpeated spirit from the Springbank distillery. It’s still maturing in the Springbank warehouses so it’s not yet available. Hazelburn was named after a closed distillery in Campbeltown.

Longrow

Longrow is a double distilled heavy spirit that’s made at the Springbank distillery. Each year the distilling equipment is cleaned and Longrow is made for a short time. Highly collectable and a wee bit pricey, we prefer the standard Springbank range.

Springbank

Springbank is a unique and traditional distillery that makes a salty, oily whisky that is a favorite among connoisseurs throughout the world. Springbank still cuts their own peat and malts their own barley which is a rarity in Scotland today. They also triple distill a portion of their whisky and still do their own bottling on site. The distillery is run by a descendent of the Mitchell family that founded the company in the 1828. Not only is Springbank produced at the distillery, the heavier Longrow and the yet to be released Hazelburn expressions are as well. The distillery also makes the highly sought after Campbeltown Loch blend. Springbank makes incredible whisky that has an almost cult following. We also love Springbank and the 15 year old expression is a terrific dram for the experienced whisky drinker.
