Dear Friends,
Thank you for visiting the Whiskey Guild
and Welcome to Shamus’ Corner.
I bit about me. I was raised in a very
Scotch and Irish town in NJ. I’m in my
mid 30’s with a wife and wee lass at
home.
I work the same 50 to 60 hours a
week that you boys and girls do
regardless of what Glen thinks. I love
Scotch, and just like you, I think the
Whisky Guild has some great insight to
some truly delicious and sometimes under
valued bottles that we all should have
or at least should try.
It
was my Pop that introduced me to scotch.
To be truthful it was what he drank and
I stole sips as a lad. As a man my Dad
would come to my house and he’d ask if I
had any Scotch….. (He knew I did.) Sure
thing buddy, you want blended or a
single? “Whatever your having.” he’d
say, knowing I drank from the top shelf.
Those were the best drinks. Pour a dram
for someone you love and no matter what
it is, I hope it will be one of the best
drinks you’ve had.
