Dram of the Month

February, 2009

Scapa 16 year old

A refined Scapa that offers more depth and flavor then the popular 14 year old. I liked this one from the first sip. The dram still maintains that classic Scapa coastal feel but has more fruit and malty notes. Well balanced, very enjoyable and easy drinking. My only complaint was the somewhat short finish but the overall approachability of the dram more then made up for it.

Nose: Malty, floral, fruit, brine

Body: Silky smooth and cooling on the tongue

Finish: Short to medium, apple skins, VERY smooth

A classy coastal malt.

C
heers,
Glen
